Smoke grenades and the Morning Person talent are also lifesavers in clutch moments and 100% worth it. Get it on both characters ASAP so you have an emergency option if a character gets charmed (this happened a few times, but turning invisible saved us every time). You also want at least one character to have Walk In Shadows for thievery. That thing is dope while you get all your skills in order. The most important early ability you want is the spider summon. I used an archer and they were the wand/shield mage. It is absolutely viable and we broke the hell out of the game later. I played a full Lone Wolf playthrough on Tactician with my SO in DOS:EE.
